Known in JAPAN... GREAT... do we live in japan?

I am speaking on behalf of US. Please show me how many GT spec, INDY, NASCAR, etc... cars have Endless brakes equipped.. aside from the ones with MAJOR sponsorship from them.

Well damn seems to me like they are pretty well known here in the USA too, being they are from here... They mainly manufacture brakes for Japanese vehicles, which aren't widely raced in the USA to start with... You should be thankful an American company is willing to cater to our cars like that... Brembo sure doesn't...

most people want bolt on crap, to tell you the truth bolt on is for pussies. you can find a system from just about any big brake company that will work with some minor modifications if you take your time to research and do the work and in the end you will come out with a great system that you can say you had a hand in building and for less.

on a side note:

braking systems are not rocket science, no matter how much these companies try to tell you there is some serious engineering into their products they are full of ****. basically it is stopping power, friction and heat dispersement, in my book that is the opposite of rocket science...

To me it's a simple question of $$$. Are Endless brakes good? I bet they are, they have lots of motorsports experiance in Japan and the orient, but that's part of the reason why they're so bloody expensive. They're sponsoring teams, using their customers money to do it, meaning the products are more expensive. Also being a Japanese product you're paying for all the import taxes, fees, increased shipping costs, and you will have a much harder time getting replacement parts and pads. The real question to me, and to most enthusiasts and amateur racers isn't are they good, it's are they better than or are they worth the extra $$$ when compared to the competition.

I'd bet that a MUCH cheaper Wilwood setup will be just as good, and you'll have more readily available parts in North America, things like brake pads. Wilwood is used extensively in amateur and professional motorsports because they're track proven, and perform just as well as other more expensive options, meaning the cost to benefit ratio is much better. That means that you have more money left over to buy other things like tires, a suspension, engine parts or whatever to make the car faster.

If im ignorant, your biased...

Im talking about braking systems in general... Take Brembo and look at what they have accomplished in the braking indusry... (Formula 1, MotoGP, LeMans, etc...) Take a look at Endless and they dont even come close to that.

Guess what? Brembo is European, do they cater to only european cars?? NO. Brembo has been around for nearly 50 years, how long has Endless been around?

All I said is that I wouldnt buy them over Brembo or Wilwood, which is my personal preference.

actually i hadn't even heard of endless until a few weeks ago....

now is that is some screwed up stuff! how long have they been around? seems like they just hit the market and are forcing their products down people's throats to recoup their investment very quickly.

And again, I'm not saying they are worth the money they cost... I'm just saying they are a valid name in motorsports, and not some off-brand junk... If Brembo made a 6-pot brake system that worked for our cars, I would buy it... Except I don't have money like that... So it's all out of the question for me anyways...

I don't think a +17 offset will fit your car, and you'll have a hard time finding a 17x9 wheel to fit the front as it is...

Yea they just hit the market... In 1987...

company age can be considered in many ways, sure the company could have been around for 30 years but really only put on the shelves in the last 3 years when a real partner decided to pick them up and dust them off. for example i could build engines for 20 years by myself with my company name then have a partnership offer with a corporation and that partnership grows to a large scale within a year, it doesn't mean i have been producing large scale products for 20 years but only recently as the name was basically bought and put to light.

Check out the April 06 Modified Mag. It had a a 88 with 17x9 with a +15 offset
work wheels and the tire size wuz 235/40R17 and he had no problems. I know its a japanese car but i think theres no difference in wheel fitment. Oh yeah a had wider fenders also

difference is i'm sure that car had coilovers... don't believe everything you read, there often is other factors you don't see or ever realize.

I think your original argument asked if they were known or if they were proven.

They are proven in Japan and there are a few cars equipped outside of Japan with those brakes. Does that mean that they are proven even if it was only in Japan?

Yes.

Research is in order when you whip out the keyboard on an internet forum.

btw, GReddy or 'GREX' brakes are made by Alcon, another "proven" manufacturer of brakes.

I'm doing something similar, the CR Kai in 17x9(+28) and 18x9.5(+30) in the rear.

Your right he did have coilovers Kei Office to be exact.
My thing is his set up is real nice and like the way he did it.
And i just love Work wheels so again U think when i get my coilovers and every thihng else they will fit with no problems.
I know he used a +15 and want a +17, just 2 millimeters that stick out

maybe but it will be a tight fit with those wheels, the tire size is not that large though, it doesn't even really make sense i would think he would have 245 or 255s on the front if he was running wide fenders and 9" wide wheels.

i have 235s on my 17X8 wheels and the proportion is about perfect, with a 9"wide wheel it just wouldn't look right IMO.

Is this the green one that your are talking about?

The M-sport wide fenders will add another +20mm in the front and either +30 or +50 in the rear.

That will allow you to run -20mm offset in the front and -30 or -50mm offset in the rear.

That actually sounds about right as the tires are not as stretched as is commonly done on the drift cars.
