aftermarket 2+2?
i have an 1987 t2, which i love, but i could really use the practicality of transporting more than one other person at a time (just for short rides)
is it possible to just rip out the bins and put the 2+2 seats in, or is the body design different for the 2+2s?

I've transported up to a 5'3" small 21-year-old girl. I, at 5'10", could sit back there if necessary, but my knees hit my chest.
However, my 4'6" great-grandmother did remark that it's too small for even her. And that's with the front seat pulled all the way forward.
If your state lacks seatbelt laws, you don't mind them, or your passenger can fit a seatbelt around while sitting sideways, it works like that, too.

The seats are totally usealbe I switched my bins to seats about a year ago, one of the more helpful mods I've done.
5-8ish girls fit back there just fine...
As for sex in an RX-7? Your best bet would probably be to fold down the rear seat as well as the front seats, and try to work it in the hatch area... heads toward the taillights.
Easier with the hatch open probably.

speaking of sex in cars, i used to be considering a saab, which would be perfect, fold down rear seats and that huge-*** hatch
but does anyone have pictures of the rear seats, a few different angles

I wanna get some 2+2's and put someone back there while im drifting, haha. Not really though, 2+2 is a waste of storage space. I got oil and water and other misc stuff in my bins that would just flop around if i had seats. If need be just make someone lay down in the hatch. Ive had to do it a few times and it worked. I have heavy tint and it was night so cops wouldnt be any wiser, plus she was like 5'1" so she fit fairly well.

there is a thread on here that shows the whole transformation from normal to 2+2
edit:watching someone try to fit into the seats is way funnier than making them lay in the hatch

I have a brand new set of black leather 2+2 seats. $500 PM if interested. Seat belts and all mounting hardware is included and still sealed from the factory. (Mazda OEM)

as for 5-8ish girls, I assume you're meaning age not quantity? They're hella small though, sure you could fit in it, but you wouldn't want to stay in it for too long. would take more pics but it's night.
wish I had bins, I barely use my passenger seat anyways, the seat's been folded down as of late just to transport some stuff.

I'll throw in my two bits:
-I converted my car to a 2+2, it's very simple to do. The only thing to worry about is braking too many of the plastic clips.
-Storage space is not lost. They fold nearly flat, and the seat buckets are deep enough to almost as much junk as the bins.
- They fit a 6'2 220 pound guy in the back, sitting sideways and hunched over. Said guy is hallarious to see, and he will bitch, but it works.

pfff, i can fit in the back seats, it's cramped the recaros come back a afair bit but it's not unbearable.
the seats are better for carrying things anyways than the pods, the pods in reality are quite useless and give less space than the seats.
but if you really want space rip everything out of the rear and the carpet, there's a tonne of space then
