Question After market racing seats

The seats in my 7 are great for 170k miles but there is a large tear in the driver's side probably from the sun wearing down the vinyl on the side (it's not in a place that is normally worn out). I would like to repalce the seats with a very minimal amout of money ($600 or less for a pair) and i still want to use the stock 3 point harnesses. I saw some Corbeau's (i think that's the brand) that look like they could work. Any recommendations for my '86? Does anyone who has done this have any horror stories to tell or know what fits nicely?

you could probably get the seats for close to $600 for a pair. but you would also need the seat rails or some custom made seat rails. which adds about $75 for each. there shouldn't be a problem using your stock seat belts.

If you wanna go cheap, try the APC racing seats at Pep Boyz- they have gone crazy since the FnF deal- they come in some nice colors. Don't know about fitment, though. I think they sell for 210 a piece.
