AFM wiring *searched

Ok after searching and checking the fsm I am still in the dark on the actual wires going to AFM. I needed to relocate mine a little farther a way. Unfotunatly there are three identical black wires in the harness. At first i thought all grounds" bout was unsure and didnt want to mess it up so i was wondering if anyone knew what the 3 black wires go to on AFM. On the fsm i found where the wires go but couldnt tell if they had marked them. Thanks again.

Check out the FSM wiring diagram - for instance, S4 n/a wires going to the AFM, from page 50-31, are:

green/blue
brown/white
brown
black
black

One of the BLACK wires goes to the Fuel Pump Check Connector (yellow plug, two sockets). You need to make use this particular gnd wire goes to that yellow check connector and not one of the other two gnd wires. That gnd wire is for the fuel pump circuit. When the vane moves aft, it is one of the two wires on a switch that makes the fuel pump work. It acutally is the gnd for the Cirucit Opening Relay when the vane moves aft. Sometning like that.

The other two are spliced together inside the harness and are indeed grnd wires. Those two are spliced to all the other sensor gnd wires and end up at pin 2A of the ECU. Frankly speaking, if you gnd them to a good chassis gnd point that will do.

Look at the elect plug. The BLACK wire that is NEXT to the Brown/Red wire is the black wire that goes to the fuel pump check connector. The OTHER two black wires can go directly to a gnd point like on the chassis if you want.
