afm problems?

problem: anything after around 25% throttle, the car falls flat on its face, almost stalls, unless i let off the gas and put it back to 25%...

brought my car to the shop, hoping that the problem i had was a fuel filter problem, they installed the new one, i swing by after work at like 6:30

they say no dice, and i'm hanging around there for about an hour and a half, mechanic says it may be an AFM problem, i'm like nooooo, it just felt like i wasn't getting any fuel

he said the afm might be shot, but the car ran fine last week!

i'm just growing sadder and sadder by the day when this ******* car keeps getting fucked up
x 10

=[

Did they also change (or clean) the in-tank filter?

Does the car run fine for a couple of minutes before it starts bogging?

he was checking the AFM and said that there was no voltage going through it, which could be why i was either a) dumping too much fuel
or b)not getting enough air
which are basically the same thing...

but when i go back tomorrow i'll see if he checked the fuel pump and in-tank filter, fuel pump is in good shape though, i'm pretty sure

thank you
