Affordable adjustable front camber.
Go ahead and flame me for doing this to my car, but here is how I modified my top strut towers to adjust my front camber. It was a great idea that a racer friend of mind gave me. The car turns so sweetly now! What a difference a degree of negative camber made.
I posted it in race car tech but I thought some of you second gen guys might find it interesting. . .

I don't think there will be issues with flex or bending. I have seen a lot of weekend race cars with this done. I first read about it in Hot 4's magazine, (australian mag) and they also said you could notch the top bolt hole on the bottom of the strut where it attaches to the wheel. Good for a little more negative. I am considering doing above mod this winter.

Are those slotted holes or new holes seperate from the old ones?
If they're just slotted all ima gonna say is i hope you have some good lock washers on there, a local race car here had that done but no lock wahers and he told me the bolts slipped around a bit which made for some very interesting handling dynamics.

Yeah they're slotted. I'm keeping an eye on them for the reason you pointed out; they have not moved in a week and a couple hundred miles but if they did it would be a fun ride.
My car is far from stock Banzai! Emod for me.

Would you like me to give you my paypal account name? I'm open to donations of $150+ for a nicer looking accessory which does essentially the same thing. The camber shown in that pic was actually too much, so lack of adustbability range was not an issue on my car with this mod. I actually gained significant front wheel traction in turns by reducing the amount shown in the pic by about half.

you guys who are haters obviously haven't seen the hundreds of race cars that have done this. You guys also know that most adjustable plates also require the cutting of the strrut tower as well. This is a good free mod.

Hmm. Interesting aproach. I hope it works for you. Grassroots Motorsports put out info on free camber changes years ago. There was a thread in the 2nd gen forum: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ghlight=camber
Did you already do this before slotting the bolt holes? If not, there's another degree or so of neg camber to be had...

And no, Tein, JIC, GAB, Cusco, Aragosta, HKS etc etc do not require cutting of the strut towers.

Ha ha, you guys hate me and I know it. Don't hide your feelings! A lot of my threads turn out contraversial like this because I'm special.
If it ever breaks I will report here with the pics, but I doubt it will. I have no money and with this two hour mod, I was able to fix a camber issue on the car. Yes, these slots are more than enough adjustability and allow a degree or two negative camber to be dialed in. That's plenty for the way I drive; like I said before I found a performance increase by going from full slot to half slot.
I know my car looks semi-clean on the outside, but the thing is a true beast under that skin. All go and no show is the essence if its purpose . . even the bumper grill ducts were shaped for airflow and drag reduction rather than a flashy look.

As for plates requiring cutting, maybe not those but I have seen plenty of installs that do require cutting. Maybe some other cars I guess. Anyways it is nothing new to cut a car.
Thanks for your attempts to embaress me though, very nice!!!

Although "embarrassing" you wasn't my intent. Just correction of given information.
Turbodan- If the constant perpetuation of that image bothers you (of which im unclear of) feel free to not look at those threads/leave at any time.
