additional injectors

i was thinking of adding 2 550cc injectors, so that i would have 6x550cc. does anyone have a writeup of it? like where i should have them stick into and the fuel delivery?

problem is i dont want to get resistor packs with the injectors. i need high impedence 720cc's. afraid that the resistors would pop under heavy heat. a friend of mine tried, but blew a couple already in his 1991 t2.

your friend might have been using too low an amp rating resistors. Additional injectors can be kinda messy and complicated. Putting in bigger secondaries is an easier way to go.

Yes, bigger injectors is a much cleaner and easier way to go. But... you can only go so big with a s-afc until you need a Haltech or something similar to control them. 720s are not good enough for a turbo upgrade or anything along those lines. I run Haltech with 550/1680 now. But, i used to run the old style HKS AIC with 4 550s in my upper intake. If you shop around, you can find those AIC's for $1-300, get another set of 87 turbo2 injectors (low impedence) and you got yourself enough fuel for over 400rwhp. It worked great on my setup, never a problem. You can do the whole setup for as low as $200.

I added a second fuel pump inline w/checkvalve and upped the fuel pressure then took the return line and connected it to a third set of injectors 2X460cc, it was the cheapest damn thing ever, course you need a haltech :p
