AAS suspension upgrade recommendations?
I am in dire need of struts. My 2nd gen GXL has the AAS and they are shot. I was thinking of upgrading to this system here: http://www.rx7.com/cgi-local/2catalog.cgi?cat=8&part=1
Any other recommendations? If someone would sell me some good AAS struts I'd be interested.
I mainly do street driving, and participate in the occasional auto cross...

You can get Tokico Illuminas and many different brands of springs at better prices from http://www.shox.com and http://www.coximport.com . I have Illuminas with Suspension Techniques springs on my car, and I like the combination.

I recently upgraded my suspension from AAS
I went online at Tirerack.com and bought KYB AGX's and then bought suspension techniques lowering springs locally and the total came out to be :$226 front shocks + $170 rear shocks + $44 dust boots= $440 from tire rack plus a lil shipping and then i bought the 1" lowering ST springs for $180 = $620
Not bad for 4-way adj fronts and 8-way adjustable rears.
I couldn't get the AAS actuators to control my suspension though. Can't complain though, this ride is VERY STIFF when at full hardness and I take corners at high speeds without noticeable body roll. You should also look into upgrading your Swaybars while your at it, I kinda wish I did everything at once.
I give the KYB's 9 out of 10. the only problem I have is Squeezing under the rearend to adjust the rear shocks. but other than that everything is a snap. They are clearly labeled and have a big tuning dial to turn with clicking detents. The fronts come with a small screwdriver (each) to tune the fronts and they are also clearly labeled and have a fourway detent. You may want to look into a camber kit to compensate the rears, but the camber is only slightly noticeable. Now I need to disable my DTSS for the unstable 4 wheel steering issue under hard cornering.

I dont know how much money you are looking to spend, but I just bought both front struts and both rear shocks from www.autozone.com and the total for all four was under 200 bucks... Not a bad deal, unless you want top of the line shocks...

Well, I've decided to go with the KYB AGX and keep the stock springs for now. I want the ST springs though, maybe shortly after I buy the struts.
Do I need anything extra because I have the AAS system? Or do I just remove the AAS actuators?

I saw www.k2rd.com having an excellent price on the KYBs. I will be ordering them as soon as I figure out what the hell this shimmy, vibration/squeak is coming from at low speeds in 1st gear...here's the thread:

Please help diagnose this problem if you would. It has me stressed out...I suppose I could take it to the dealer, and bend over for the repair bill...
