They Didnt make twin turbo FC, if you want twin turbo it has to be a FD, what kind of 944 are you looking for turbo or non, the turbos are kinda rare you might have some trouble finding one. I would reccomend the FC, one reason is because my dad has a 944 (for sale by the way ) and the handeling of the FC is alot better IMO, also the parts for the FC are alot cheaper, my dad spent 6k+ having the 944 (non turbo) engine rebuilt

he right they didn't make a TT FC RX7 however if you want to run that just put in a cosmo engine which is a TT and give's a hella lotta hp, however that's 10k for installation (motor+labor) into the FC if you get somebody else to do it.

You can pick up a good running FC for under $2K easily and then gut the hell out of it and add an aluminum hood if it doesn't have one already. Easy to get the weight down to 2400-2500lbs. '86-88 models are around 2600lbs N/A and 2800lbs for the Turbo. '89-91 made about 20 hp more N/A and gained 200lbs due to more door bracing and under dash bracing/automatic seat belts. Turbo model now weighed 2900-3000lbs.
235/17's fit all the way around with 2.5" coil over springs. Cheaper way would be to put some convertible wheels on it 15x6.5" BBS style (factory RX-7) and mount 225/15's all the way around. These wheels weigh only 11-12lbs and you effectively lower the rear gear ratio increasing accelleration.
The cars that kick *** in AutoX are Miata's when asking about bang for the buck. Hint.
Turbo RX-7 are in the same class as Vettes I think and any mods put them in another class where they get their butt kicked even more.

well, considering your asking the RX-7 forum, it's no suprise that everyone's saying FC lol. But like everyone's saying, the FC is the cheaper route...and they are easier to find parts for IMO.
