91 gxl
i found a guy who is willing to sell me his 91 gxl for 1500 bucks. to me this sounds like a good idea. its red to begin. got the 16in wheels. all the options short of leather. black interior. the body seems fine from what i saw. tires are in good condition. the only thing i saw that i wasnt to happy about was that it had 144000 miles. does this sound like a good deal, or am i just being to anxious?

How's the body?
I assume that the high mileage means it was used during New York winters. I would check if the underbody has any rust. I dont have to worry about that here in Cali but you should check for that.
I saw identical F150s next to each other. one from the midwest and one from Cali. Both the same year and body style. The one from the midwest had rust all over the differential housing.
Other than that, does the car run well? Easy cold start and warm start? Idle is consistent?

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
No such thing as a 91 GXL. Only a 91 Coupe with options. See what came with what at the top of this section.
And you should have compression checked before buying

i know there is no such thing as a 91 gxl but i was just comparing it to my 88 gxl with the amount of options. it seems good. drove it today. clutch takes a while to grab. no rust, not even on the sunroof. idles kinda rough, does that mean anything sides a tune up or idle adjust?
