i thought Ito has the bearing packer? or is it that you can't put a new one in the rear period?

Uhhh you sure? I had BOTH my rear wheel bearings replaced on my 87TII, and again on the driver's side 6 months later. I didn't purchase anything but the bearing and seal. Then gave that to the mechanics.

ito changed my front bearings already i know they can be done. unless my 89 rear is different it has abs. also the hub is screwed up on mine, the bearing is spinning around in the hub. oh well its just easier to swap the whole hub it has a six month warranty too. i just found out it will only cost me $200 more per year to insure the T2 on my policy!!!!!

in that case the place that was gonna press in the bearing are just jerkoffs new part is coming. i think ito knows how to do it also but its not worth messing around with. if necessary i have the old one that is bad still. i can always get that one with the new bearing pressed in and swap it again if something happens. spare parts are good
