89 car with 87 jspec, down on power?

i was just looking over the receipt that came with the car stating the new motor and all that jaz. it says 87 13bt for the motor that they put in my car. but my car has a electric omp. is there anyway to tell if i have the 87 88 turbo or the 89 91 turbo or what? also is my car less pwer with this 87 motor than i t would witha 89 motor? i have a racing beat downpipe and hiflo ca with hks exhaust so my boost goes almost to ten by about 3\k rpms. but by 7k rpms it is at 5lbs. any ideas or comments? any help or enlightment would be greatly apreciated.

be happy if you have the 87 engine as far as i m concerned the 89 + engines dont last as long due to higher compression rotors and stuff. and about your low boost a 7k rpms BOOST LEAK. check all your vaccum lines. i had a similar problem once and it ended up being the trottle body to intercooler hose. the clamp lossend and leaked at high rpm boost.
