88 vert sound system
Every once in a while the power cuts off to the headrest speakers. Then for now obvious reason they come back on. When it happens, the power lights on the console go out too. Has anyone had this happen and figured out where the bad connection is?

Mines a '90, so the stuff may be in a different place in your '88.
When I got my vert it had the same issue.
I found the headrest amp/control (behind driver seat, under security cover, rectangular silver box maybe 6x5x2 with a big connector going to it attached to the front side of the cross car support). It's attached with a few 4 or 3 can't recall) 10 or 12 mm bolts.
Took the box out, opened it. Reseated the fuse, checked the soldered connections. Didn't really change anything. Put it back together and plugged it in. it's worked fine since. Perhaps when you have it open you'll see something obviously wrong. Otherwise it is probably just a bad connection from that big connector and it just needed to be replugged.
I also had to replug in the connectors under the seats that power the speakers, as the speakers were crackling. That fixed it.
I hope your fix is as simple.
