I guess I don't understand why pulling the leading plugs wouldn't kill the motor. On trying to start it the last time I got it to idle with the timing right at the 5*BTDC mark and the wideband was registering in the 19's. Still running rough as hell. But then smoke started coming out from behind my gauge cluster and soon enough my tach stopped working.
I'm at the end of my rope with this, I feel like it's sapped every bit of me that I've put into it and given so little back.
Test the primaries bro. Dont give up.

the engine can run on just 1 spark from one plug, its actually a sign of a very healthy engine(at least the rotor that is running the engine currently) if it can.
but once you fix the problem your idle is going to be really high.

Alright thanks guys, I see what you're saying now about timing, it wouldn't run if it were that far off. I've already checked my primary injector wiring but it's time to test the injectors for sure, I like the tie wire to fuel rail idea.
Yes I've made sure the plug wires are correct, haha. Usually my problems turn out to be something stupid like that so I've been checking all those bases. Definitely got pretty discouraged about it today, hopefully I can salvage the gauge cluster, I have no idea what caused that..
Thanks for the help and encouragement.
