how do you pull the pins out of these connectors?

There is an unlocking mechanism inside the plug accessed from the front of the plug. Obviously a very small tool is needed.

same voltage directly at the ECU and no continuity between the br/w wire and ground.

Don't do a continuity to ground test but just a plain continuity test. Use the wire from pin 2A and one of the Br/W wires from the sensor plug.

ooh, ok. i understabd. Ill do that to marrow after work.

what about the ecu pin still puttibg out less than a volt?

If the correct pin was measured properly w/key to the on position then the reading is no good as it's not even close.

continuity with all sensor br/w wires confirmed.

Double check the ecu wire. Just to make sure, 2a is the far right wire on the top row of the middle plug. I hooked up the meter and turned the key. as soon as it hits on, it reads .5v then drop the .25v

Yes, top row far right position. And are you placing a paper clip or wire into the vacant pin position w/the ECU plug inserted or are you taking the reading in some other manner.

Im using a paper clip in where the wire was.

If you're getting an accurate reading w/key to on and that reading is well below 5 volts then there appears to be something wrong w/the ECU as the FSM suggests it should read 5 volts w/key to on.

popped an ebay ECU in during lunch. she fired right up. Now this brought up a few other issues, but ill ask about them in a new thread if i cant find the answers after some research. But for now, she starts, runs, idles and doesnt miss. thanks so much for the help!
