'88 GTU vs. '89 GTUs
New to rotaries...
After my mr-2 and Miata, I bought an '88 GTU to build into street-prepared auto-x car.
What are the differences between the GTU and GTUs???
Also, if anyone has a rough guess on number of GTU built, that would be cool... Some people say it's fairly rare, others say it simply replaced the base model in 88.
Thanx!!!

No the 88 GTU did not replace the base model, it replaced the sport, and the difference between the GTUs and GTU is that the GTUs is made in 89-91, and has the extra horse power from the reworked intake and has a differnet type of LSD, and there are probably more differences but I can't think of them right now. And I think Icemark said there were only like 2,500 88 GTUs made, but I could be wrong.
