87 SE: sell or rebuild/swap into 88 GXL?

Ok... A while ago, I bought an 87se with a "blown" engine for real cheap as a project.. turns out it was just flooded.. Since then, i've fixed it up a bit, and it runs semi-decently now..

So, i'm about done with this project now.. But I'm not sure what I should do with it.. I imagine i could sell it for ~850$ or more pretty easily.. It seems to be in alright condition mechanically, but aesthetically....mmm....it's lacking. It has no sunroof (i mean, there's a big friggin hole in the roof.. which makes the interior smell pretty non-nice), a sizeable dent in the FR fender, tad of rust on RR quarter panel.. paint is pretty bad... peeling in places..

But.. I have put a bit of work into it.. new intake gaskets (all 3), swapped on 89+ fuel rail, "cleaned" the injectors (let them soak..heh), polished the extention manifold a little, ported them out some.. New fuel hoses, new fuel pump...

Should I just sell this **** and call it quits? Or should I pull the engine/tranny out, rebuilt/port the engine, and swap it into my 88 gxl? I hear that a used 13b/tranny is worth like 700$ if it's running.. I'd hate for mine to go out in my GXL after I sell the SE, and i don't have a donor any more. And I just feel safer if i have a spare engine laying around...just in case.. hehe. Of course, then what do I do with the body? Prolly can't sell it for much.

I don't know the internal condition of either engine, really.. I should get a compression tester and see how it really is..

Thanks,
-Tesla
