i have seen this problem in a few 13B non turbo engines. the cause is usually leaky injectors or bad seals. one way around this is very simple but does not fix the problem as it will usually lead to ruining the engine itself. here is what you do. from the off or acc position of the ignition. try to start the car for one second, then turn the key off again and wait till the engine and starter both stop. this prevents the fuel pump from engaging. do this repeatedly until the car tries to start about 10 times. finally start the car but do not let off until you know it i will stay running or 15 seconds as to not overheat the starter. you may have to give it enough throttle to rev at about 3k to keep it running afterwards to remove what is called a carbon lock before it will idle. this has worked flawless for me untill the engine finally went cuz i was to ignorant to fix the real problem (please do not be this ignorant, costs a lot of money to fix)

You can buy a ECU code tester on E-bay for about $35. It has two LED light that blink out the code.

I tried the atf about 20 times with a car jumping it, but it still wont start. I did hear more sound coming from the exhaust that normal after doing it about five times but it just wont start. How many times do you think I need to do this or what else can I try?

I have the same problem on my 86, which is the same as your 87 is. If you have compression, fuel, air, and spark, the you are talking about leaking injectors almost EVERY TIME. First, don't just think there is enough compression because you hear some....do a comp test. If that's good, then go on to the next thing--air....you said you were testing the CAS before. Do the same with your AFM. It's the metal box that's right under your air filter box. I am not sure about the numbers from memory, so check FC3S.com for the factory manuals, and you will find it in there. After that, check spark. Pull one of your plugs out, reconnect the plug wire to it, and place it so that the electrode end is close to metal in your engine compartment. Then have someone try to start it. Watch the plug, and if you see spark, there you go. We know you have fuel, since you said the plugs had fuel on them. So, then I would pull the fuel injectors and look at those. They have O-rings on them that wear out, and must be replaced. But while they are out, I would have them cleaned and serviced. You are looking at about $100 at the most, and there are several companies that will do this. In the process, they will put new O-rings on. When you get them back, re-install them and see what happens. Before you do any of this, I would also get a Haynes Manual from the local auto parts store--12 or 13 bucks, and read the hell out of it.

Not exactly on topic, or helpful in any way.
But I can say that I do agree with you....
