87 NA, Purge Valve?

Does anyone know where the purge valve is on this bad boy? I wanted to check it and the entire purge system... what else should i check?

As the Factory Service manual (available in the FAQ) or Haynes manual shows, it is located just behind the oil filler tube between the tube and oil filter.

ok, behind from the drivers side or the front of the car? not to be a smartass but the book confused me.. i thought it was pointing to the PCV Valve... which I inteligently pulled apart by accdent...

The purge valve is the PCV valve. It's a round saucer thing about 1.75" in diameter with two hoses on the bottom and one on the top. It clips to a bracket that extends off of the solenoid rack and is directly behind the oil filler tube (looking from the front of the engine) and directly in front of the oil filter.
