87 Na, Please Help!!!

alright I have a 87 NA with 120,000 miles on it. Recently I have been hearing a metal clanging sound from the engine bay whenever I put a good amount of load on the engine at low to mid RPM range. I have been told that it might be detonation but Im running 87 grade which is what they are supposed to be ran at. Also my idol is a little high, I dont know if that would have anything to do with it. Please Help

I don't believe detonation makes that kind of clanging, and NA's rarely detonate, unless the timing is way off. Start checking belts, pulleys and mounts.

And WTF is going on with the server lately? I keep timing out, posting, the post doesn't show up until I write a new one.

You might want to check your timing.
