87' 13B - NA ECU Pin-Out?
Hey alls... just a quick question...
does anyone have or know of a complete pin out for an 87' 13B NA ecu? Reason for asking is because I need to build a harness for my dune buggy and need to delete quite a few things... plus im missing some of the harness that I have and I dont know what it hooks to or where it went on the car (all I have is motor, harness, and ecu...
thanks

I found the diagrams page but am having trouble figuring it out.... Now I know I have the Emissions harness.... two plugs of which hook up the the EGI... but I dont have any other wiring... and cant find the third (largest plug on the ecu) in the diagrams....
Apparently I dont have the engine harness like I thought I did... so i'll be needing to locate one or build one of those as well...
if im overlooking something in the diagram book... please point me in the right direction... first i wanna figure out the big plug on the ecu... then I'll go from there.
btw.. its the N326
Thanks again

im not sure where the box was located in the car.... it was all given to me pre pulled from the car for free.... he said it was removed from under the dash on the passenger side.
it is a silver box with a white/black tag labeled :
N326
EGI
N326 18 881C
is this not the ecu? if not... hmmm.... i was told it was and the person who gave it to me believed it to be....
the plug on this thing looks fairly wide... looks like one plug... but is spereated and allows for three plugs to be hooked up... two of which come off of the emissions harness... (the harness which has most of the engine's sensors and injector plugs on it...)
the widest of the three plugs is the one im needing to know what all it hooks to... the one on the right most side... its a little wider then the other two

looks like that exept different numbers

Yeah. Your going to have to create those wires for the FRONT harenss plug. They go to non essentials like the CAS, coils, batt pwr for the ECU etc. humor.
Don't go out and buy a used FRONT harness. That is a large harness that runs from one side of the interior, into the engine bay and all the way up front of the car. No gain in doing that.

the guy who gave me the motor has an 87 parts car with the full harness he said i could have... but i think it'll be a pain in the *** to pull and was thinking of just cutting the ecu pigtail and making a harness from there... also would snag the coil plugs and probably the fp relay setup so I dont have to mess with it too...
the pin out should get me started... i hadnt seen that book yet.
thanks for the help guys

That sounds like a winner. Make sure when you cut the plug off you leave a lot of wire on that plug so you can stagger your splices with Your new wires.
If you download the FSM from this site, and just download the FUEL AND EMISSIONS part of that FSM, you'll find a section/pages called CONTROL UNIT. On those pages is the function of each wire of the ECU.
But you really also need to download the Wiring Schematics to go along with the above.
Most of the wiring diagrams you won't need. LIke Radio and Theft and all those useless items.

Boonville... about 20 min. from evansville which is where I work
as for re doing the harness... i think it would be the best route for me since I dont need 80% of the junk thats integrated into the stock piece....
anyways... i got a bit more done today on the buggy... got all the block-off plates installed and I went and got the plug ends that I needed.
question though... does the CAS plug into a coil pack or are the plugs just very simular?

edit... if you alls are interested... I have a page on another forum on the build up of the buggy and how it started... its got quite a few pictures and shows a bit more of whats going on...
