86 rx7 engine speed signal

i was wondering if there is a sensor or wire where the engine speed signal is checked? when my car stalls out it beeps twice and repeats...could this cause an idle issue? or any stalling

I'm not sure where you're going with this. Explain the problem more thoroughly. The "engine speed" signal comes from the crank angle sensor on the front cover of the engine.

The power steering control unit should be getting a rpm signal from the same place the tach gets its input.........from the yellow/blue wire of the trail coil assy. Or is it Blue/yellow? I forget. Look in the FSM, wiring section.

That's if you have pwr steering.

Look at the attached jpg and ignore any markings I have made on it, but look at the TRail coil and the words near the bottom of it that mention the pwr steering etc.
