86 RX7 A/C kit?

My 86 RX7 doesn't have A/C. Is there a new A/C kit available anywhere that doesn't use R-12?

Thanks for your help.

With all the people that remove their AC, I'm sure you could find someone willing to sell the whole setup to you. And R12 is interchangeable with R134, so don't worry about what the setup was originally using.

Use the R12 setup because that is all that is available. Then, install Freeze12 refrigerant instead of R12. It will be nearly as good as the original.

Yes, NO and NO!!!!!

You can get most of the parts used, but get a new drier.

134a is NOT compatible OR interchangeable with R12. Stupid statements such as these lead the unknowledgeable to trash their systems.

In the FC, the condenser area is insufficient for R134a use. The resulting high head pressure causes many issues, loss of power, excessive wear of old compressor seals and valves, ineffective carry of the existing mineral oils therefore poor compressor oiling and the resulting compressor damage, reduced cooling capacity, poor cooling. slow pull down from heat soak, ect, ect.

Freeze12 solves all of those issues, allowing the system to operate with close the original pressures and efficiencies.

Trust me on this.
