Buy the Atkins video... Everybody says its perfect for the n00b... Pretty much teardown to rebuild. I'm doing my first rebuild this feb. Shouldn't give me too much crap. From what I hear, the success of your rebuild will heavily rely on your attention to detail, organization of parts/tools, and the condition of your existing parts. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

54mm socket for flywheel nut, dial indicator, digital calipers, feeler guages.. Carbide bits if you are going to be doing porting... Do you have air tools? Die grinder (for porting), impact wrenches, etc?

Make sure to have lots of baggies or organizational containers to separate parts and label them.
