720 woes

I recieved my denso 720s the other day, thanks brock. They are going in my 90 TII. I went to buy resistors and guess what? Radioshack has DISCONTINUED all the 5watt and up resistors. Im kinda screwed, Im gonna try a local computer shop. They maybe able to get them.
If you have a S5 make sure you get the resistors before you get the injectors. I think you need 1-1.1Kohms at about 10-20 watts<reted advised>. Oh also the injector wiring plugs are diffrent. What did you guys do for this? I took S4 plugs from an extra harness. I can just splice these instead of the S5 ones right?

Check on a GOOD CAR AUDIO shop, they use\need resistor to build custom passive cross overs.

Radio Shack's webpage still lists the resistors - you can buy them online. They show availability for them in the stores as well as online. I think you may have been fed some BS by the store clerk.

They're 10ohm, 10watt resistors.

The injector connectors can also be gotten from the HELP isle at Pepboys ect. Its a standard bosche FI plug. Like $6 - $10 each (kinda pricey) but they work.

10 ohm, are you sure. My 90 ones are 14000ohms, the denso 720s are 3000. Isnt that about 1kohm diffrence. Oh also I got them from a computer shop. I guess 1amp flows through the injector so 10 watts isnt enough. I have 2 10w 500ohm in serise. THe guy at the shop recomended it instead of 1 1k 10w.
thanks for the input.,.

Glad you got the injectors. Just a thought, but can you get a resistor pack off a S4 and wire them through that?? The guys are right though, radio shack should be able to get you just about anything. Hell I've seen night vision goggles in their catalog. Good luck
