One way to inspect your turbo is to remove the downpipe from the tubo outlet. From there you can reach up and spin the turbo fan with your hand. It should spin freely.

Dragging this back from the dead
It turns out it was the turbo. It has since been replaced with a TO4B 60-1, custom manifold, etc etc.
Now i've got problems keeping boost under 9psi![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks,
Manolis

*bing* someone with the same problem as me. I've got a full 2.5" turbo-back exhaust (virtually as wide open as it can get), and I can only get 5.5 psi on my mechanical gauge.
First of all, do you have an aftermarket gauge (is there really a problem)?
Second, I'm going to put money on this: If you get a Manual Boost Controller, you'll have no problem boosting normally. This is why:
I think the DSV isn't opening correctly (for whatever reason.. ECU, ECU wiring, pressure sensor, DSV itself acting up, DSV wiring, pressure sensor wiring, whatever..)
Oh, and 2.65 seconds is NOT enough to differentiate yourself from stock.. run a 1/4 mile time and tell me you're not faster than stock.
