60,000 mile mark
ok, i ordered a set up NGK spark plugs and a NPN replacement fuel filter. I'm not a mechanic but I however got the power of the Haynes manual to assist me... I'm wondering if there are things I should watch out for or notice while replacing these and the gap I should be using for the spark. And any tips or advice would be very helpful since I'm not completely confident doing this all by myself. Thanks and wish me luck.

don't mix up the leading trailing, add some anti seize compound for the future.
for the fuel filter expect some mess unless you depressurize then the mess is smaller, its not that bad if you don't depressurize just expect fuel to come out when you change it, put it in the way you take it out exactly in reverse.

this sounds really misleading, he/she might get confused with information like this, its not hard to take out and put back in so dont worry about it, just follow your haynes manual and it will be fine
oh and dont go all squirt happy with the anti sieze, too much can create spark problems as anti seize is a conductant and will cause problems if you use too much, just a little dab on the thread part and as you thread the spark plug in, it will spread around the threads
Also, RX7 spark plugs, if you get the regular ones that are from NGK dont need to be gapped, i think when you see them you will understand
