6 ports not opening and the ACV?
sometimes I can feel the ports open when I hit 3800rpm, but other times I don't feel the ports open. Same driving condition. Could the problem be with the ACV? I was thinking I was not getting air into the air pipe which leads to the cat.

Ok how does the ACV put the air into the ports? It is exhaust back pressure that activates your S4's auxilary(5th and 6th) ports. I would suggest checking for freedom of movement on the rods and sleeves. If they won't move easily then get to cleaning them.
