5th and 6th port activation

well, I think I have come up with a better way of operation for this delima. Instead of using air or electic actuators I am going to use a progressive linkage like on a 3 carburator setup uses. It makes more sense and it very inexpensive. Any input?

Clarify what you mean by “progressive linkage like on a 3 carburettor set-up”. Do you mean you want the auxiliary ports to open part way through the throttle travel? Like maybe ¾ throttle? I don’t think this’ll work very well because the aux ports are designed to be closed at low airflow to keep the port velocities high and open when required for high airflow. If you open the aux ports at WOT and low rpm, airflow will still be quite low so air velocity will be low and torque will suffer. This set-up would only be marginally better than wiring them open, but would be a lot more hassle to get working. RPM activation makes more sense because it’s more closely tied to airflow. I like the electric air pump idea personally.
BTW, if I've misunderstood what you intend to do, sorry!

well, let me put it this way. On a 3 carburator setup if you dump all that air and gas in at low RPMs then it would run like crap. So the way the slippage and cam on a progressive linkage work alows the carburators to open only as the trottle is depressed. I understand your point but I do not exactly know how to explain how it is going to work. I will come up with something tomorrow and draw it up for you guys.
