is that a praticular type of rim your wanting? Ive never heard of a adaptor but ive seen some rims that have like 8 or 9 holes around the center so you can put them on 4 or 5 lug cars.

i got some rims awhile back that have 8 holes
on them they can go on 2 diff 4 lug patterns but i ended up
buying a t2 with 5lugs
and im not too rich right now so im lookin for away
to make those rims work with my turbo

There's adapters to go from 4 to 5 lug, but I've never seen a 5 to 4 lug adapter, as it's basically a "downgrade". All of those adapters will space the wheel out an inch or so, so it's highly unlikely that the sheels would even fit under the fenders at that point, as most universal 4 lug wheels will be for a FWD car like the civic, with a fairly common offset of 40mm. Let me guess, 17x7's? If they are 7's, and they probably are, then you'll need an offset pretty close to 40mm, out to maybe 25mm or so at the most. An adapter like you're suggesting just woulnd't work in that case.
Just sell the wheels and get some proper ones that actually fit your car.
