Well this has been an informative topic. Very mature as well...

To the original poster: installing a 4 rotor engine in an FC is of course possible, but represents a VERY expensive project. Lots of custom parts, as well as an engine management system to run it all. Figure around $45,000 to get it built, installed and running.

11 years ago I was at a friends shop and a guy showed up with a 4 ROTOR in a 1st gen.
I know yall are thinking "Whatever" but listen, It was two 12a's runnin one in front of the other, and this is how he did it: The output shaft from the 1st motor closest to the front of the car attatched to where the front pulley is on the 2nd motor with some sort of 4inch adapter shaft then from there it was just like a normal 12a. It had a normal trans and everything. Mind you the throttle linkage along with cooling system was a little different. He told me the car had nearly 400hp and was carburated, all I know is that it was quite possibly the wildest sounding thing I've ever heard. Take it for what you will, just lettin yall know.

Here is a 4 rotor in an fd. the engine is based on a 12a and is the same length as a 20b. They are claiming to have it done by sevenstock.

Cory: Sorry for flaming you, it was inappropraite, but ... well, "787B won lemans and there must have been a v8 in it" did not sound very well throught out to me, and I felt the need to respond. Sorry.

2 12as hooked together in an FB sounds pretty incredible to me, I dunno where you'd put the second one without doing some firewall moving or ... well, something. There's not exactly a ton of room between the front of the stock motor and the rad... certainly not enough for a second 12a...

But hey, if it happened, then cool... ghetto 4 rotor supreme...

Well.. if 2 12As are just put together wouldnt that mean that two rotors are on the same cycle? (both front rotors be in synch as will both rear). Hmm...
