300HP from a 87 2 by 2 ?
Is it possible, or would it be better to just have large street port, Wired open ports, PR sleeves and full exhuast, and keep it as a track car, and buy a T2 for street later on ?
I was thinking S/C but will all the invovled costs, a T2 would seem more sensible, as it would make more power, less money.

Both ways...yes you can get 300 bhp. I'm a pretty N/A lovin' type of guy (although I do love turbos...it's just more fun to work on an N/A to me) though so of course I'll preach the N/A doctrine to you...stay away from the darkside my brothers, the path may be easy, but go to far and it WILL lead to destruciton.

300whp from any NA is going to be quite a task. But once you put FI into the question (turbo or sc) that mark is going to be reached considerably easier. A turbo or sc + a wet nitrous kit would be the easiest. I wouldnt recommend a dry shot due to the tuning nightmares created by it unless you were running a really small jet.
