2nd gen trans on 3rd gen?

Does anyone know how hard it would be to put a 90' GXL transmission in my 93 R1? I want to rebuild a transmission for my R1 without having alot of down time, and I already have the 90' GXL trans. thanks

I dont think theres anyway you could do that, a GXL tranny can barely hold a tII engine's torque, and i dont think the flywheel would match. a TII tranny would work though without too much trouble if i remeber correctly but the n/a trannys are too weak

you cant, the yoke on FDs has a place to bolt on the power plant frame which the FC does not have.
