2500+ High Idle after Throttle Body swap
Hello,
My old Throttle body had the fast-idle cam adjusted and it seems to me was faulty (stuck open, stick, etc), so I decided to change the throttle body out
I swapped a 91 T2 throttle body onto my 89, as m last post (a while ago) i see that there are a few pieces that are different.
first is that on the 91, i don't see the water thermal-valve that has a vac nipple from the UIM. so after the swap, I capped the UIM nipple.
Anyways, after everything is complete, checked all the connections, the car came to life 3000 rpm as usual, then after a while the car drops to 1500 rpm for a minute. Then after that it SHOULD go to 750, but instead it idles at 2500+ constantly.
I've checked for stuck throttle cables, haven't messed with the TPS or BAC valve yet.
I just want to see if anyone knows what can cause the unusually HIGH idle that i am facing now.
Thanks

well thats the thing, I want to get everything straight before i start adjusting screws... last thing i need is another part with weird adjustment and everything goes wrong.
so the first thing is the Water-Thermal valve, by capping the UIM line (and no Water-Thermal-Valve) would there be any significant issues? (i find it strange that 89s have all these contraptions and the 91s don't)
second is, what other components should I check BEFORE i mess with the BAC idle screw? (TPS, DashPot, etc)
