20b fc

$6k for an engine and $3k for a rebuild plus shipping. $10k right there just to have the engine ready to put in... then you need fabrication, standalone, fuel system, exhaust... $20k is a good starting point.
what were you expecting to see? sure, some guys in the service mighta scored one at a wrecking yard and brought them home for cheap, but that's not exactly a story example of reality for most.
if you're really lucky you might even score a C or D code block, otherwise the A and B code blocks are just as weak as the standard FC engine shell and can break at even as low as 300whp. modifying a 20B costs twice as much.
there's plenty of threads about this, and the price only continues to climb as the engines become more scarce. when i joined this site you could find a 20B for as cheap as $3500, that number has nearly doubled since then.

C-code 20b block 4k
Race spec rebuild and prep 15k
Clutch/flywheel/gearbox/driveshaft/custom engine mounts/modify firewall for correct engine placement 10k (why the power potential of 20b with stock gearbox?)
Then add standalone for a 3 rotor/turbo and manifold, pref a xcessive shortened LIM for fitment plus alot more crap and add another 10k....
Edit:i live in sweden...rebuild prices might be cheaper in the us...as will certain parts as i have to pay import tax and shipping on everything
I can see a budget install for 10-15k but it will mess up a good handling and reliable car just to add another rotor...

plan on rebuilding it as well, and a 20B isn't something i would recommend if you haven't built one before. there is also special tools involved where the 13B doesn't require much in that department. the shaft splitter alone is $500-800.
