20B or 13BPT... which one ?

Well my car is currently undergoing some major body work additions and Im thinking of fixing the engine.

The engine is good for 340Rwhp at the moment but I have crap compression and she has had a hard life so I’m thinking I should do the rebuild while she is off the road for a bit.

So I was planning to just get a Bridge port (with a TO4E turbo 60-1), get it all done properly and upgrade all the internal bits and pieces so I would achieve about 400 hp+ (est.)

But then I thought, well hell if I’m going to spend 3G on the 13b rebuild etc etc I can go out and buy a 20B for the same price. (Aud dollars) + in the end if it cost me 6G to put the 20B I would probably get a easy 450 hp+ and more torque. + more headroom for more upgrades later.

now I’ve read reted site about the 20b swap and I’ve basically done all the mods required when building my 13b so its not going to cost me 10grand US

also it will be street car, and a 20B been a much quieter car then a BP is a big plus.

So what do you think the 20B or the bridgeported 13bt.

Streetport the 20B, and upgrade the turbos. But if you go with the 13BT and the bridgeport you could be better off considering you don't need to get new custom peices, a probable larger exhaust, and so on.

But I think if you can do it, more power to you .

(Hint, DO IT)

hell ya i would definitely do it. a 3 rotor has the potential to win drag competitions and stuff like that. Ive seen some videos of aussies like yourself running 7's with a 3 rotor in an fd chassis. They have the potential to runs that thats just how sick they are

Finally! Someone asking about a 20B swap that can actually do it. Go for it! If you want some more info from people who've done the swap, you can ask around in the 20B Forum.

Like everyone else had said, get the 20b if you can. You are already going to buy a bigger turbo for the 13bt so that gots the twins covered.
