I know many on here use their 7's as daily drivers. I personally wouldn't recommend it... simply because of age, and mileage on many of the engines. If you are looking for something to get you back and forth to college... go get something with proven reliability. While in college, the last thing you need to worry about is a car breaking down. The way I see it, the 7 is a hobby car, and not a commuter.
Also, if repairing and restoring the car, saveup and use the correct replacement pieces, it keeps the car more true to original... don't go yanking out the leather to put in cloth because it is cheaper, and if the AAS needs to be replaced, save up for the real thing... don't go rigging in some other suspension system. If you rip out all the stuff the car came with... it is nolonger the car you bought, or the car the company designed it to be. I could take a pinto, yank out all the old crap, stuff it full of go-fast goodies, and put it into the 10's... but, it would nolonger be a pinto, now would it, so what's the point?
