Exclamation 1993 German-Spec FC3s t2 ... picked one up, didn't even know 93's existed.

Just curious if anyone has any info on the German-Spec fc's just have it at my buddies shop for now, and been so busy with Army **** & getting my homesick wife back to the states cause she hates Germany so much that she is leaving after like 3 months that I haven't had a chance to check out the car... Anyways it's a 1993, and if anyone ever told me they had a 1993 FC i'd probably call them a retard, but apparently they were made up to 1993 ... even the manual says 88 93 in the corner.

I'm stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany ... it's 20 minutes away from Wurzberg.

I picked up the car for 2000 euro (around $2400 or so depending on the exchange rate) on the German eBay ... picked it up about 4 hours away from where I live, heh, on a trailer cause it's broke. Couldn't really talk to the guy since he only spoke german ... but I think it's the water jacket seals.

I wouldn't care if it had a motor or not cause the chassis was damn clean ... no rust, nice red paint, prolly been repainted, interior done in black leather with red stitching, decent rims & tires too.

I would imagine it's similar to the japanese ones but left hand drive ... someone lemme know if they have info ... I'll post pics up as soon as my buddy lends me his camera.

The last of the FC's were built 8/92 and were only convertibles.

So unless it was re-badged by some importer, it is not a 93.

The last of the coupes were built 10/91

what is the actual production date???

This car is no longer mine, and is still in Germany probably owned by a solder I don't know. It was pretty painful to let go of. Anyways, here are a few pics, in memory of Icemark ... I can post more upon request.

Yes, a four year bump.

Mods can choose if they want more pics added or if they want to lock it up.

I'm curious about the euro rear bumper. I'm assuming the black thingies are lights for the license plate?

And I've only owned verts. Headlamp switch is for brights or for fine tuning headlights? I'm assuming since you posted the pic it's wasn't an option for USDM?

BYW 6 years ago it looked very nice

The switch is for fogs, the wheel with numbers moved the headlights slightly up or down.

Rear seat T2? Automatic logicon? Side markers? But... LHD? This thing had all the bells and whistles. I'm jealous.

Damn clean interior. First thing I thought of when I saw the pics of the interior was the showroom pic. For 140k, that car is hella clean.

Keep in mind that's 140 kilometers, not miles.

Super clean. I can see I have a long way to go with my restoration. That circle side indicator is starting to grow on me. It's cool to see the Euro gadgets on something besides the Mercedes' and VW's. Even has a rear fog light, if I'm not mistaken? All it needs is some plaid door inserts.
