car is 1990 gtus.all stock.i have not driven this car in almost 2 years because i cant figure out what is wrong with it.problem is check engine light on and poor running.checked the computer codes and got 2 crank angle sensor codes.checked wiring and connectors as much as i could without taking harness completely apart.tried a "good used" crank angle sensor.no change.bought a new crank angle sensor-no change.tried a "good used" computer-no change.always get the same symptoms and same codes no matter what parts are being used.it kind of makes me believe that it has to be a harness issue.what gets me is that the car can sometimes run good-then instantly turns to crap and the light comes on. when the light is on the car will barely run and wants to stall and have no power.any suggestions where to look next. is it possible that a problem in another part or system in the car can cause the crank angle codes without there actually being any problem in that system?i love this car and really want to enjoy driving it again soon.thanks.

check continuity of the ne wire. From the sensor connector back to the ecu connector. If the wire is still good then maybe try replacing the ecu.

thanks for the replies. i am in altamont ny,about 15 minutes west of albany. i will check the continuity of the harness with an ohmmeter between the ecu and the crank sensor.hopefully i will find someting wrong!!
