1986 Mazda Rx-7 Ex. Cond needs fuel injector

Grey 1.3L non-turbo almost perfect inside and out. 145,000 miles. 2nd owner. This car has never been pushed or raced. It has been well maintained. The engine is still strong but the car has a malfunctioning fuel injector which results in a rough idle. A Mazda certified specialist and they said the engine is still perfect and the only problem is the fuel injector. Thinking of selling it. New tires. CD/MP3 player, A/C, power windows and power antannae all work perfect. She's a beauty but I think I want to get a camaro. How much do you think it's worth? -Where might I advertise it?

ok, with the "but i think i want a camaro" i think you had better sell the car. you shouldnt own it. "where should i advertise it" (bad cover) aside from the ad you just placed in the wrong forum, how about auto trader.

The car is NOT for sale. I am definitely holding on to it. It has a bad injector. The shop is charging $1400 to replace two injectors. I dont want to make anyone pissed off by putting it in the wrong forum. I only want to know what the experts think it's worth after the $1400 fuel injector work is complete.

find 2 perfectly fine working fuel injectors on the forum. - $50 - $100
Find someone that knows what they are actually doing and won't screw you - ~$200
or know how to do it yourself - $0

you are getting screwed.

The car probably isn't worth $1400!
Christ man, you order a set of 4 brand new injectors for less then half that and install them yourself in an hour!!

after the fuel injector work is complete, it is still worth just about the same as it is worth without the fuel injector work. Nobody on here would be crazy enough to spend that much money on something like that. So you are losing completly out, and you will never see that money back ever again.

Talking

Kelley Blue Book says your car is worth $1,400. (Non-GXL Coupe, 1986)

RX-7 Fanatics would say it's worth whatever you can get for it. And I personally don't trust kelley blue book value - but it's interesting to see.

Got any pictures?
