The Cause of Death
Basically what most of the experienced turbo-rotary guys are saying is that the stock injectors in the primaries are fine. A lot of people on here use them, and upgrade the secondaries.
But on cars with UPGRADED (BIGGER!) turbochargers, more air is being forced into the combustion chambers, which would necessitate more fuel. And considering a turbocharged rotary will not hit full boost until say 3K RPM (correct me if i'm wrong, a friend said he doesn't get full boost until 3-4K RPM...on a TII) those primary injectors would not need to add fuel, if it's not boosting, or boosting beyond stock levels, correct? Once full boost is hit at said RPM (3-4K RPM) the secondary injectors will start to supply the fuel. Which is why a lot of people on here running higher than stock boost, or an upgraded turbo, will use larger SECONDARY injectors. I hope this will help someone, and if there's any corrections to be made, please do!
But forcing more fuel into a combustion chamber, be it piston or rotary, WILL NOT ADD POWER. The more AIR AND FUEL that can be added, given a good tune...say 13:1 (power) will net more power. Simply running something like a 9:1 A/F ratio will suck. Something like 16:1 may detonate. Stoichiometric is 14.7:1. Anything above that is lean. And below that is rich.
