13bt porting and CA SMOG.

has anyone passed smog with a TII with some kind of port job done? i was thinking, a friend has a turbo motor with a big street port. if i got that, i was wondering maybe, i can just put stock exhaust back on lean it out for smog purposes, what u guys think?

Hit up the West forum on this website, they'd know.

To pass bare minimum you'll need a primary catalytic converter rated for the rotary engine's heat output and the air pump host attached to the catalytic converter.

Both my rx-7s were close to california emission specs for new 2004 cars. I think 1 new aftermarket cat is better than the old stock 2-3 catalytic converter setup.
