I have an 87' Rx-7 turbo, i had to do a lot to it cuz th ekid before screwd her. But im very happy with it. I became sponsored. got a Greedy 20G turbo and intercooler, and of corse a piggyback and now im at 385 with everything which includes a few smaller things. but it was cheap for me and easy, well not way easy but a lot easier then what you wanted to do. just me putting in words

And the Cosmo was auto, so I don't know if you'd even want to go down that path.
I've heard mention of folks making the 13b RE operate on a regular T2 ECU...

Oh and uh, how does this relate to the topic, at ALL?
My input: 13B-RE all the way. There are a lot more interesting manifold options for the FD and post-FD style rotary engines. With the 13BT, you are limited to basically stock, custom..and..yeah.
