Dry means no fuel, so then you need to start looking to see if the AFM is plugged in and if the fuel pump is working.

I have flooded my car a couple times, i bet we all have, and i have always got mine to start by pushing the gas pedal to the floor and then cranking it. It takes a while, but it has always worked for me. And next time, be sure to let your car warm up before you shut it off.

you could also do that 3000 rpm-turn-off-floor-the-gas-while-it-dies procedure. Seems to work just fine.

ok so here's the story so far...

Got the car home and he's chillin with his little brother the Mx6...
Decided to wash the Rx7 because well it needed it...Right Bobby?

Ok so after a clean wash and dry I dismantled the top end of the Wankel...
1. Pulled spark plugs
2. Put ATF in rotor housings
3. Cleaned plugs up
4. Spun the motor and unflooded for about 2 minutes
5. Re-inserted plugs
6. Reassembled top end
7. Cranked car with Fuel relay intact- No results.
8. Unflooded the engine
9. Pulled fuel relay and cranked car...fed it a little gas and the rpm's jumped to 1k...pluged in fuel relay and the car fired up.
10. Kept idel using gas pedal at 2.5K
11. After 5 minutes of warming up slowly let off the gas to bring idle down.
12. Car loses idle and dies.
13. Repeated the cycle from unflooding and car cranked up again and dies...

Hey Comp hop eyou don't mind me piggie backing off your thread. Cheers.

Could be the AFM. I had a similiar problem with a VW Passat. In changing the air filter, I damaged the AFM sensor. The only way to keep the car running was to keep my foot on the gas. It could not idle or start unless I was revving the engine.

I do not know how to take the AFM out of the picture.
