10th AE previous owner wiring question? s4 motor going in.
whats up 7club, i have a 10th AE rx7 that i bought without the motor. guy before me was running a 400+ setup and after blowing the motor he swaped and ran a stock s4 t2 motor.
I will be swaping in a new motor sometime in the next couple months, the wiring looks pretty stock except for the addition of water temp guage, oil temp, boost gauge turbo timer, and safc.
the only problem i have and question at the moment is a this.
You see those three wires sticking out from the drivers kickl panel? I asked him what they were for and he told me it was for a fuel kill.
The problem is that i dont think he remembers right becuse he was running 10psi on his second setup and says all he was running was the safc, now i had understood that you couldnt run more than 8 psi on the stock ecu without cutting fuel. so is the ecu chipped? where could i find a FDC?
anyway back to the wires, they run to a ground and power source (black and red) the purple one runs into the engine bay and is Td with a green with the is pliced to a grey wire that was pulled from the harness, the other ends to a metal connect(ill show you)
Does anyone know the funtion of that grey wire? and where im suppose to connect the end of that Td off purple wire?
i was also wondering if i need this speaker that was located under the under the glove conpartment? has a plug running to it.
Is it safe to just eliminate?
thanks for any help, oh and also the gauges i have are autometer, i dont have the sender units for them, can i just use some from jegs or any other brand? or does it have to be from autometer, i tried searching at their site but didnt find anything. thanks
Agustin

The box on the left is the theft deterrent box. No, you don't NEED the speaker. Just up to you if you want sound from there or not. The mate to that one is below and to the left of the steering wheel. No box, just bolted in behind a grille.

just cut these out, whatever they were for you are going to want to either eliminate or re do
He probably sold the fuel cut defender. That's plugged into the pressure sensor on the passenger strut tower.
I wouldn't bother with a fuel cut switch unless you really really want it as an anti theft measure. If you build it right you won't need to worry about using the fuel cut switch to keep the engine from flooding. Use cleaned injectors that don't leak and an Rtek 2.1 to control your cranking fuel amount.
