You are either dreaming, or have watched Fast and the Furious way too many times.

There is no way $8500 worth of mods will get you into 10's. Not a single way in hell. People here have a list of mods several pages long.... and are barely into the 12's.

In fact, you'd be lucky to get into the 12's with $8500 worth of mods.
What the ****? All I ******* see you do is spout bullshit. Get a clue and learn something about these cars. With 1500 posts I'd have thought you'd know better.

To get an S4 Turbo 2 into the twelves:

Stock Engine, BNR Upgraded Turbo, NPR FMIC, 720cc injectors, fuel pump, full exhaust and intake and about 15 PSI.

Jeeezus. First you yell at us that swaps aren't viable, and now you're saying you can't get into the ******* TWELVES for $8500??? My car's going to have ~375 AT THE WHEELS for less than $4k including the car. That will put me in the high elevens. Good god, with $900 worth of exhaust and fuel mods you can run a 13.5 in a Turbo II, for christ's sake.

Not a single person has shown me how they plan to acheive 10's with $8500. I said 12's with $8500 is possible, any less, and you're compromising reliability. Until you show me your $4,000, 375HP monster, you can STFU and get in line with the rest of these *** blasting machines.

My conditions were stock engine, pure boltons. How much did the rest of your stuff upgrades cost? BTW, congrats on the awesome time slip very impressive.

I ran 11.9 with just bolt ons. if I would have used 2 720's and 2 1600 the 1st time. I could have turned the boost up some more. at the time of the 11.9 run I had 4 720's at 98% duty.

and 11.9 was before the car lost almost 150 pounds.

im going to be swiching to a T66 Q trim .96 and turning the boost up.

looking to make a high 10 sec pass in about a month.
Just to prove my point, how much have you dropped into your car, bolt-ons wise?

Lets keep it friendly people. No need for the smart assed comments...

And FWIW, here's a plan to make a 10 second car for $10K.

1 TII w/bown engine
1 20B ($4600 Canadian)
2 20B engine mounts ($250 US)
1 Big junkyard intercooler ($100)
1 Big fuel pump ($500)
4 1600 CC injectors ($500?)
1 S-AFC ($250)
1 4" exhaust dump pipe ($100)
Weight reduction (free)
Roll cage ($500?)

I would run the 20B with the stock TII ECU (yes, this can be done) and ignition with a dizzy.

I'm talking $8500 in bolt-ons, and maintaining a reliable RX7 with the stock port 13bt.

Unless you drop in a V8, $8500 is going to get you nowhere. Especially considering he's not starting off with a freshly rebuilt engine, and there is going to have to be maintenance done on the car before he even gets started. Here's a shopping list that I've compiled:

1. Full 3" turbo back exhaust -- $1000
2. FMIC, Piping -- $1000
3. Haltech E6K -- $1000
4. Custom TID -- $100
5. Checkpoint intake $250
6. MBC -- $100 for a decent one
***OPTIONAL*** rebuild the engine you just blew $2000-3000
7. Injectors - 2x720cc, 2x900cc -- $300
8. Bigass turbo -- $1000
9. Walbro FP -- $100
10. Good set of racing tires, because there's no way in hell you're going to do 12's with the stockers -- $600
11. Fluidyne rad -- $400
12. Flexalite -- $200
13. Puck clutch -- $500
14. Boost, EGT, A/F, Water temp gauges -- $400
***OPTIONAL*** rebuild the engine you just blew $2000-3000
15. Wet nitrous setup -- $1000
16. Earls fuel system -- $500

There you have $8500, excluding shipping, excluding engine rebuilds, excluding labour.

I sure as hell HOPE TO GOD that makes it into 12's for that much money.

But 12's for $5000? Enjoy your one and only run.
wet nos for $1000 where in the hell have you been shoppin more like 450-500

less than 8000 i'm pretty sure of. i believe it was about 7500 including car. he had a small jpeg (or gif) with upgrades and the total amount. i'd bet it was all together easily less than $10K.
but the engine was built by a friend, BDC. engine building and porting can cost a lot or be free. that makes a huge difference, too.
