10% Ethanol
Hi, I'm just about to purchase a 88 RX-7 GXL, and I was wondering if 5-10% (I think that's what it is) ethanol gasoline will clog the fuel lines on my car. I know some older cars don't like ethanol because of the composition that makes up the fuel lines gets gummy when you use ethanol. Also here in Iowa Ethanol (89 octane) is about 5-10 cents cheaper per gallon than straight old 87 non-ethanol, so it would be most likely the one I'd put in the car. ($2.18 non and $2.11 eth right now).
So should I get the ethanol or non-ethanol.. I know it's a big debate (did a search), but didn't really find anything conclusive.

I've heard that ethonol wont really 'gum up' anything, but using it long term is supposed to be pretty hard on rubber. I dont know about only a 10% mix.
Also, it's got less power in it (BTUs) and it changes the stociometric burn from 14.7 to get closer to the stoch burn of Ethonol, whitch is around 9:1 I belive.
It should be fine.
