Why is it that so many 10AE sellers have severe vertigo? Why do they need to list all kinds of hogwash, and pretend like their car is so unique or "mint", instead of simply selling the car on its own merits?
... who were living under a rock and didn't notice the 87 TII a year earlier.
I would like some crackers with that cheese, please.
Main Entry: 4mint
Function: adjective
: unmarred as if fresh from a mint <in mint condition>
I saw the original MINT 10AE's in the showroom back in 1988. This particular 10AE is NOT mint, as any coin collector can verify.
Engine: Don't Know
This original advertising tag line appeared as the 1988 Mazda RX-7 Turbo anniversay edition was released upon unwitting Porsche owners.
This car is all original for the purists, yet easily modified if you really want to challenge the laws of physics.
Unbeatable on the skid pad
It's rarity is expressed by the subtle production stamp still affixed to the rear deck (#128)
Ferrari mirrors
The interior is mint with extremely little wear on the leather.

I have no problem with the 10AE car, and I do actually like it. However, I do have LOTS of actual issues that Dr. Phil could maybe help me sort out.

As for the 10AE issue, yes, I guess you could debate whether or not the US 10AE should have been an NA or TII, but anniversary cars usually tend to have a fair amount of performance value, so I think they made the right choice given the competition from Nissan and Toyota. IMO it would have been nice to offer the 10AE RX-7 with some type of unique performance engine, such as a street-ported engine, 20B, large single turbo, blower, FMIC, etc., but alas, they kept with the 80's trend of plastic and leather. In a way, this may make the car a better representation of the times, even though it will probably never have any collector value because of it.
