Wrong, Evans coolant is a waterless coolant.. If you don't know. Do not respond.

Thanks.

Just a quick note........I hope you paying too much for that stuff as Propylene Glycol can be found anywhere.

"Water is an impurity" is kinda a Stretch as well. There are impurities contained in Tap water and that is why you use Deionized water in your cooling systems. Electrolysis occurs when impurities are present

Another reason to steer clear of Ethelyne Glycol is for the Phosphorous contained within. Posphourous attacks alluminum.

cooolant Gel-ing is from the use of Surfactants. Anti Bubbling agents to keep you system from getting foamy. Lots of Antirfreeze/Coolants can be purchased from Kragen etc. that are free from the chemicals Evans is using to make a case for charging more money.

Bottem line, save yourself some money and effort and go buy premixed Sierra and "filler-up"

HOLY ****!!! $27 bux for Propylene Glycol!!!!

Man, Welcome one and all to my traveling road side Snake oil side show, I'm your flim flam man complete with bow tie!!! Just call me Evans............

You do understand that 100% Propylene Glycol is readily available at any Auto Parts store. And ALL Manufacturers suggest a minimum of 70-30% ratio and most run a 50-50% ratio of Deionized water and Coolant/Antifreeze.

I love how that guy goes into boiling points etc. The reason plain water does/doesn't boil at the temps we run inside engines is because it is under pressure. IF you relieve the pressure then the boiling point goes down in temp. Not to mention Evans toughts that his boiling point for PG is 367°F at zero Psi and then list a lower boiling point for EG/water mix as if that is something great. The truth of the matter is that EG has a boiling point of 384°F at Zero Psi per the manufacturers MSDS, which BTW, is higher.

I'm not making a case AGAINST Propylene Glycol as it is better for aluminum engines like the 7. I am however against misleading marketing tactics fabricated to justify charging you 200% more for a product that is readily available at Wal-Mart.

jhammons, sounds like a rock solid argument to me. I even looked up the MSDS for EG just to see if I could see anything different. Good looking out.

yeah. this made me think- What's up with water wetter?

you know about that stuff right.

In my truck, I ran 100% water(not tap) and a bottle of water wetter(small bottle- maybe 8-12 Oz)

Either it really works, or my temp guage broke and dropped 10 degrees right after when I changed coolants.

Is that stuff safe for Aluminum blocks? They say it is, but I never believe sales crap.

I hope that it is because I run that in my TII. I haven't had any problems so far and I've been using it for 2 years.

This has got to be a first.

Where is Slpin or Savington or Scathcart or MakoRacingFC...............

I know, it must the new avatar. The Grimmace scares everybody and the feather commands respect!!!!

Should I go back the the old one?

Would you argue with me if I had the old Avatar?

i disagree....you need to flush your coolant system with...uh....gasoline! heck, i say you can use it as a full time coolant. cools better than anti-freeze

I'd argue with you if I knew anything about coolant. Quite frankly, I have no idea what you're saying. sounds nice and uses alot of big words. Yay! you get a gold star!
