**nooob** need help with my fc

i just recently bought an fc (86 base model i think. has no power options or sunroof) and i need a little help on this one...
here it goes:

the good:
car runs fine
there is no hesitation of any kind throughout the powerband
it has good batteries
good starter
new spark plugs and wires.
engine was rebuilt
no smoke
no oil leaks
apex seals and springs were replaced during the rebuild.

the bad:
the car would start on cold start but barely, you would have to start it a few times to get it started.
if you stall the car or shut it off after everything is right on operating temperature the car would not start and you would have to wait a few minutes for it to cool down a bit and try to start it again. and sure enough after a few tries the car will start right back after the initial cool down.

basically at cold start after a few cranks the car will start. at hot start the car wont start you would have to let the engine cool down.

i was told by the previous owner that after rebuilding the engine he drove it for about a year and then it started to have the above mentioned problem because he never replaced injectors. he asked a rotary mechanic about it and he said: "the secondary fuel injectors are sticking so all they do is stay open and dump fuel in the chambers"

i would like to believe that the problem would be as simple as that.
i haven't tried anything yet and don't want to attempt anything not unless i know for sure what the problem is.

if you guys have encountered this problem: I NEED HELP!
thanks!

yes, its probably your injectors. They are leaking fuel into the engine and 'flooding' it. look up how to deflood the engine because this problem will only get worse with time. Most likely its all four of your injectors, not just secondaries.

if you dont know, each rotor has its own primary and secondary injector, so you have four total. anyway, if you can afford to not drive the car for two weeks, you can pull the injectors, send them to RC engineering to get rebuilt, and put them back in. even if the injectors arent what's causing the problems now, this is very much worth doing if you plan on keeping the car for a while.

If you cant put the car down for two weeks or dont want to, n/a injectors are a dime a dozen and can be bought for next to nothing in the for sale section. you might even find some already rebuilt. you need four 460cc (i THINK).

another thing that might be bad is coolant temp sensor which is making your car run too lean or rich when you try to start it in the cold or hot, messing everything up. its located on the back of the waterpump and its a little green plug. It's pretty easy to replace and you can get it from the mazda dealership for not too expensive.

good luck!

injectors

i asked a mechanic friend of mine too but he doesn't know about rotaries and he said the same thing about the injectors and ECT.
i'm going to go ahead and try that.
i hope it works
thanks!
